CEPA Staff Profile
 
CEPA core staff consists of environmental lawyers, economists and scientists. In addition to these CEPA utilizes a multi-disciplinary network of Research Fellows from academia and other NGOs; this enables us to effectively respond to the multifaceted nature of environmental problems.
 
Gracian Zibelu Banda, Executive Director
He is a lawyer specializing in environment and development law and policy. He has had a successful career in legal practice, university teaching, consultancy and research and as director and member of public companies and organizations in Malawi. He has a Master of Laws in International Economic Law and has since 1994 specialized in environmental law and policy, constitutional law, corporate law, land law and intellectual property law.

William Chadza, Programme Director
William Chadza has several years of professional experience managing programmes in both national and international institutions. Over the years he has been successfully working in NGO programme management focusing in natural resources management, sustainable rural livelihoods, human capital development, policy reform and local government strengthening. He is a graduate from the University of Malawi, Bunda College of Agriculture.

Maybin Ng’ambi, Programme Officer - Project Planning & Management

Maybin holds a Bachelors degree in Irrigation Engineering from Bunda College of Agriculture, University of Malawi. He has excellent organizational skills having successfully organized and facilitated a number of stakeholder consultation meetings and workshops. Maybin has excellent research skills and experience working with communities and policy makers on land and agrarian reform, climate change, biodiversity, modern biotechnology, environment and agriculture issues.   

Anganile  Mwenifumbo, Programme Officer - Policy & Governance


Anganile Mwenifumbo is a prescribed legal Practitioner having been called to the Malawi bar in 2003. Since graduating from the University of Malawi with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree (Upper Second Class), Anganile has had a compact career in both criminal and civil litigation having worked as Senior Legal Aid Advocate for the Ministry of Justice, Department of Legal Aid before joining Banda, Banda and Company a private law firm where he was overall in charge of civil and criminal litigation. Anganile also holds a Master of Laws degree in Human Rights and Democratisation from the University of Pretoria.

Chifuniro Mbozi, Programme Officer - Communication and Advocacy
Chifuniro holds a BSc Degree in Environmental Science from Bunda College of Agriculture. She has experience in environmental and natural resource management having worked as a Training Consultant for Natural Resources College in the field of wildlife management, CBNRM, agriculture and the environment. She also has vast experience in working with rural communities.

Mcdell Chingeni, Accountant
Mcdell holds a Diploma in Accounting with Association of Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) from the Malawi College of Accountancy and he is responsible for overall accounting functions of the institution. He prepares budgets, regular financial reports and facilitates auditing in accordance with the requirements of funding agencies. Mcdell also does general administration duties including support staff supervision.
